Also, Can you tell me what board this is and is it any good? Cheers guys. I have bought the complete system with a 600mb HDD. I am planning to buy this 1.7Gb if supported and use his 600mb to complete one 486 dx4 system…

Probably HDDs up to 8GB are supported, so - yes this one will work just fine (if it's working).
But instead, I will suggest a CF card with an IDE adapter.
