I have a windows98SE System that are working with a voodoo output VGA to a CRT.
Now i want switching to a TFT/LCD solution and get the problem that when i booting into windows the VGA Signal get lost.
I can boot safemode and i got a picture. I testet another cable and TFT same problem.
First i was thinking that have something todo with wrong resolution so back on a crt booting into windows and switching the resolution turn Frequenz to 60Hz.
But again no VGA Signal when i try booting into windows.??

Yes need model of the LCD. Ok so set at 60hz....And what resolution do you have it set at ? Try 800x600.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Might have something to do with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Display_Data_Channel Video card might fail to detect any monitor and shuts down output? What monitor do you have configured in win98? I suggest you delete it or force generic nonPnP VGA one.
