i'm currently working on a Sun E250.
After repairing the battery, i had to set the machine id in nvram, but i'm not sure if 49 is correct. Has anyone a similar device or knows the correct id?

Furthermore, when swapping CPUs, i can't get the machine to work, not even in debugmode.

I had to remove the nvram, start the machine without it and resocket it while running.

This can't be the correct behavior?!

Unfortunately, these machines are quite rare so i hope someone here knows them better than me.

Future plans: Remove scsi-disks and replace with fibre channel devices (nvme over fc).
I've got several PCIX FC-Cards (qlogic, 4G) which should - in theory - be supported by this devices and a FC-host (VM) in my homelab.
Maybe i'll also try linux on the machine for wider hardware support.
