I have a 775i65g motherboard. As far as I can see with 800 FSB CPU, there should be no issues. But the manual says, "FSB1066-CPU is supported by overclocking only when you adopt an external VGA card and DDR400 CL2.5 memory modules.". Is this a bad thing? I mean, will having a 1066 CPU stress out the CPU, GPU and all, and lead to overheating, etc.?

It's what exactly says on the tin: Overclocking the i865G chipset as 1066 MT/s FSB isn't officially supported. The integrated video device won't be able to work at that overclocked FSB speed.

It won't 'stress' anything, but only 3 CPUs are supported for that configuration --> https://www.asrock.com/mb/intel/775i65g/#CPU

Aren't there newer revisions of that board that add support for a lot of C2Ds, most of which are 1066 FSB?

You're right, I'm actually using a C2D E7500 (2.93 GHz) and it works fine. Was just worried that prolonged usage with that config shouldn't cause issues.
