Its an ISA sound card and the PC identifies it as an OPTi Audio 16

It has a chip on the sound card that says OPTi 82C931 119702 11CW

Can somebody please help. Otherwise I've wasted money on a utterly useless sound card. I've tried the drivers listed on here but they don't work

What OS are you looking for a driver for?

This chip doesn't need a driver under DOS, and it's supported by Unisound, so just use that to initialize it and you're good to go.

If that doesn't work the card may be broken, or of a more exotic design. A good pic could help, as could more info on your setup.

This person reported what sounds like the same issue:

Opti 82c931

If applicable, you can download the pre-expanded driver from here:

https://archive.org/details/opti-931-933-dos

If that or UNISOUND doesn’t work it may be a faulty sound card.

Hey, that's me! 🤣

I uploaded those to Archive and can attest they do in fact work.

I tried Unisound with the card and got weird distorted output and initially thought the card was bad. But the real drivers fixed the issue.
