I have a Dell board I need for CPU testing purposes but of course it's using that obscure proprietary Dell SFF PSU that has to be different from everything else ever designed before. The board is from a HP Elite 8100 SFF and here is the PSU and its connectors:

It seems that the board uses 12VSB instead of the standard 5VSB so my question: Can I just rewire a standard ATX PSU to use with this board and skip the 12VSB wire? I'd start the board by shorting PS_ON and GND and wouldn't use it for anything other than seeing if a CPU works or not.

You shouldn't need the stand-by power, unless you're planning on using a keyboard or a mouse to power the system on. I cut the 5vsb wire off my Dell ATX power supply when I converted it over to AT. Works fine with a toggle switch with the pw_on and ground wires.
