Hi everyone,

Amateur radio (ham radio) now has one hundred years of history. 😃

The link above is mainly about the founding of the ARRL, the American Amateur Radio League American Radio Relay League, in 1924.

That's relevant insofar, because the ARRL was (is) one of the earliest amateur radio organizations.
It is (or was) a leading force in amateur radio.

In my country, there was also a 100 year celebration. Other countries likely celebrate their own anniversaries, as well.

PS: The 18th of April seems to be international amateur radio day now ("World Amateur Radio Day").

It had been introduced in memory of the founding of the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) in Paris in 1925.
