Does anybody maybe know if there is a book available with every manufactured vesa local bus card produced back in the days..
Normally iam using stason.org website to indentify these cards, but it seems those lists are far from complete as iam think off.
Because sometimes i have a hit, but mostly i havent.. Thats really disappoints me..

I really like to find the jumper setting or options what would possbile with these cards..

Somme of the older "upgrading and repairing PCs" books came with CDs that had an archive of cards - but I don't know if they had anything on VLB cards

I would like this as well as I recently salvaged a lot of VLB boards along with a few cards.

On a far away planet reading your posts in the year 10,191.

Outside of graphics (including the 3D Blaster), storage, and the seemingly almost-impossible-to-find 100 Mbps NICs, was anything else made for VLB? Sound wouldn't have benefitted but MPEG/MPEG2 de/encoders might have.

OP: This is a nice list of video cards that were released on VLB (as well as ISA/EISA): http://www.computercraft.com/docs/videochipsets.shtml

SCSI and IDE interfaces were made in VLB.

I am not aware of any MPEG decoders or soundcards for VLB. I think the list provided by computer-craft is pretty much complete as far as graphics cards go.
