Hello fellow VOGONS members,

This month (but probably this weekend), VOGONS will be updated to a new version.
So don't be alarmed if the board is in maintenance mode or locked down.

To ease the shock: it will look different.

More information will be provided on the launch of the new board.

It would be nice if the "last post" button on each thread was much larger. Not mobile friendly.

Is there an API so we could build a client for it?

Being at that place in life were eyesight becomes an issue I sometimes have trouble reading post content.
A wee bit more contrast between the font and the background would be helpful.

Thanks for asking.

But hopefully still kinda the same. Please don't go completely "Web 2.0" on us!

That would be a nice feature to go along with text resizing, but the beauty of stylesheets is that they can also be overridden by the user.

Here's hoping we keep the blue! (Or at least have some skin options. 😉 ) It's part of this place's character IMHO.

(Also, I don't need any more eyebleed from trying to read tiny black text on a blaring white background on an actively-lit display, because a cohort of inept gen-Xers decided all websites should look like "paper" back in 2005.)

Violet? Purple? Green?

I don't see that many colors, so whatever this is just registers as blue to me.

I don't really care about cosmetic changes one way or the other but PLEASE don't break intrasite linking!

@DosFreak.. that 2.0 screenshot gets me everytime. 🤣
Looking forward to the refresh!

Happy vogons deferred long enough to have completely skipped over those gross years of asp, flash, and IE-required extensions.

Please don't go with that modern "blindingly white" color scheme.

My poor eyes hurt just thinking about it.
