Maybe this is not new to everyone, but I think this might interest people here anyway.

Except that this effects all users, not just Vista:

Because Windows dominates the market and device vendors are unlikely to design and manufacture two different versions of their products, non-Windows users will be paying for Windows Vista content-protection measures in products even if they never run Windows on them."
True, but at least you can escape some of these "functions" - like the forced disabling of ports or the degraded presentation of video and audio material.
