This actually makes sense. Apple silicon and software is intended more for the masses than the high-end Pro users, at this time. It will take several more iterations and a stable supply chain for Apple to put out a Mac Pro-worthy product with their new chips and that requires a lot of next-gen tech that isn't out yet and needs to be mature/ready to support the demands of Pro users who expect the highest quality and performance for their money.
