I love Verdana. It's one of the most readable fonts I've seen. Oh, you mean the buttons; yeah it's the font I guess - it's hard to distinguish a's from e's and o's and c's for example.

Tahoma is better, IMO. It's a subtle variation, but it does the job very well.

Tahoma is a good alternative to verdana, but it's a little more "squished", trading legibility for precious saved screen space.

Nah, taking Tahoma and then doing letter-spacing : -1px as I did at the bottom of the pages is squishing stuff. Tahoma is quite good as-is, not to mention the default UI font in Win2K/XP "Classic".
