Looks like we might get a Sam and Max sequel after all, although not developed by LucasArts. It will be interesting to see what they create.

New content will be developed, and the game will be implemented in an episodic format similar to that of Telltale's Bone games. Purcell, who works at Pixar, says he will be as involved with the Sam & Max project as he can be.

According to Bruner, Telltale's plan for licenses such as Bone and Sam & Max is "bigger than video games. It's interactive entertainment."

Looks like alot of games these days are going episodic. So much for having the whole story in one gameplay experience. 🙁

and although Purcell say's he'll be as involved as much as he can be with the project....usually good projects that are no longer developed by their original creators end out badly.....see the latest Leisure Suit Larry without Al Lowe's involvement.
