Hello Everyone,

I'm working on Interplay's M.A.X., to be able to fix the bugs of the original game.

- Currently I'm searching for SDKs for Human Machine Interfaces Inc.'s Sound Operating System. HMI is out of business and their SOS flagship product is not available anymore. Interplay's M.A.X. uses this Sound card manager, and I need the linkable libraries which would help me a lot to identify related functions in the LE executables.

- I also need Timothy Cain's GNW, which was a user interface / OS abstraction Library used in many Interplay games, like M.A.X. I asked and searched for this for ages, but no one has the libraries nor the source code for this anymore.

- I'm looking for precompiled MVE format parser or decoder libraries too. This is again an Interplay stuff.

- I'm also looking for DOS/4GW SDKs or related libraries.

- Finally, I'm looking for any documents related to M.A.X. and it's file formats.

Thank you in advance for any kind of help!

Best regards,
klei

Standard procedure for this sort of thing is to search for the names of individuals associated with the games and see if one of them can point you in the right direction.

And if they can't, then you'll just have to figure it out yourself through trial and error.

Alternatively, if there's really that much in common with other Interplay games, there may be some reverse-engineering projects in process for them:
