Great news to probably many gamers: "Terminal Velocity"/"Fury3" is being remade in several "flavours". Development is very active, and there are legally obtained "Terminal Velocity" source code in their hands. You can follow progress here:

I've never tried it out before, but Ultimate Stunts has been in development for a while. But as a free open-source remake, it's not particularly pretty IMO. I'd love to see a high-quality new release based on the "build your own track and race it" formula.

Stunts is great.

what really needs to be remade is Stunt Race FX... it could be an "EX" reimplementation or a reboot. That game had a lot going for it except for the unfortunate unresponsive input controls. I adored the vehicle designs even, obivously inspired by a certain gas station's ad campaign. Headlight eyes > Windshield eyes

There are 3 games that I like to be "remade". I just want to see the same pixelated GFX and just an upgrade in sound quality.
And they need to have the exact same feel/response-time as the original...

Game 1: Hugo the troll....

However, it seems to have been put on hold for copyright reasons.

I want zero games remade. I would rather have talented game developers working on original titles.

There was a recent one on the PS3. If there will be a next one it'd be for the PS4. Remember that Lemmings is currently a Sony-owned franchise ever since the Psygnosis buyout of 93.

Have been a huge fan of Trackmania since the ESWC 2005 freebie that they put out online for free. Now own them all (apart from TM2) and yeah they are indeed great games. But theres something about driving around in an Acura doing loop de loops that TM just doesn't give me! 🤣

I saw Distance on STEAM and have kept my eye on it. I won't bother with any game in Early Access usually. Downloaded the (free) Nitronic Rush as well, but haven't installed it yet. I wish I had found it earlier, these guys really know how to make a racing game.

It's probably already been mentioned, I think the original Wing Commanders I and II could be an awesome remake using a modern 3D engine. Same script, same but updated artwork.
