Now there's finally a good reason to go there. Be sure you see the Chernobyl ruins while you're at it. 😜

"now features over 200 graphics cards"
Hmmm looks like a i can open mine museum too, have more 😁
But in shop im working isnt that much free space 😢
Internet museum is still more usefull, whole world can watch old cards, not only local visitors. He even dont have any page for his collection.
And have mostly common cards, not any rare or very old cards (according to his card list - http://imag.pcshop.ua/?v=3cyc.gif
Not only mine graphics cards collection at http://www.vgamuseum.info

Same here, though I got most of them packaged away 😜
Come on people, it's Ukraine, be surprised they have computers at all 😁

You mean you didn't hear about the new 80286 machines they just released there last year? Those 5 year old 8088/86 systems they were using were getting a bit long in the tooth. They're finally able to play Wolfenstein 3D. 😉
Is this supposed to be funny?

Isn't it?
Nope.
Pretty weird kind of humour, although I would classify it as a miserably failed attempt at it.
Water flows down the stream
How to ask questions the smart way!
I once bought a Soviet binocular microscope from Ukraine. At a pretty low price. Has descent optics, very crappy and worn moving mechanics. But it has that killer "Mad scientist" look you've always wanted.
Now Open!!! Video Card Museum in North Korea !!!
Now featuring: all 3 VGA cards owned by the Korean People's Army!
Now truly the best and only reason to visit North Korea.
Is it really necessary to poke fun at other countries?
Seems an immature source of humour and ignorant as well- the excellent GSC Game World developers are from Ukraine- surely now, they have some modern computers?
Soviets/Russians in general have been amazing programmers because they had to make their apps run smoothly on outdated hardware. Take AnimaTek for example, or even Saber Interactive, these guys rocked. Anyways, I don't think anyone's poking fun at the developers. The socialist shitholes they're trapped in, that's another story.

Lighten up, its only the internet, not life, death, or work. Every country has issues. No one here (so far anyway) is claiming to be from the best country evah.
I agree with wd here.
But it is funny if you poke your own country.
Like so: Who invented the copper wire?
Hint, look at what country I'm from 😜
Anyway, I started counting my graphics cards but pretty soon I thought "what the heck am I doing LoL!" because I counted them not so long ago. I remembered I didn't actually have 200 but more like 180+. So the guy in Ukraine has a bit more and I think his initiative (of both the owner and the shop) should be receiving a big thumbs up instead of being mocked. Mocking isn't bad as long the intentions are good 😉
I could care less who makes fun of where I am from/located. The good ole USA is a mess, like most anywhere else. We got meth cooks burning their homes down, ICP, fried twinkies, hipsters, crappy double rainbow guy, did I mention ICP????
It doesn't matter really. This is just the net. If you cant have some light-hearted humor about any given place without taking offense, then there is something wrong and you should maybe step back for a min. No one should let it stress them out. Its actually pretty funny to see something come out of a place that you'd least expect it to be from, like The People’s Arcade:
http://www.ukresistance.co.uk/2008/09/inside- … ean-arcade.html
or to find out that in a place where everything gets bootlegged, they even bootleg the Apple Store and Ikea store.
It just goes to show you that the more things change, the more they stay the same, or try to anyway. No matter where you go, even the communist controlled type areas of the world still manage to surprise you somehow with something interesting. And that in itself is what is the most funny part about it, seeing/finding the unexpected.
See, everyone can learn something from Wilfred 😜

Well said.
It didn't actually come off to me as the guy himself being mocked. It was more to the point that there was actually something unique and highly unexpected there to be seen in the Ukraine that brought the lulz. The Ukraine isn't exactly known for being with the times technology wise, let alone up to date on much else outside of their heavy-industry base and nuclear tech, unless you happen to live in Kiev or something.

And things like this arcade in NK are exactly the point. Some people need to take off their PC (politically correct not personal computer) hats for a while and take a breather. It's the concept that is being laughed at, not the people. I worked with a man from Romania once and he would always be the first person to say how messed up most things were there (he actually joined the national rugby team so he could sneak away during an away game and escape to England). The same with two other guys I worked with, one from Albania and the other from Montenegro. They were always talking about how bad it was in that part of the world under communism. It's not the person who created the video card museum that is the issue, it is the fact that they were able to compile such a collection of tech items in a place that is not normally known for being on the bleeding edge of technology that made me laugh.

That joke is really universal! In some places they say "two jews fighting for the same penny", others say "two scotsmen". Here in Spain we say "two catalans".
I suppose that each country has a different version of the same joke!
