Hi all, I'm "new" here (I've been reading forums anonymously for some time, later I decided to register myself, so this is my very first post). Great forum, most post helped me a lot to resurrect my very old 486 and to setup it correctly for most games I've own. (here and at amibay forums)

My 486 specs :
i486dx2 sx911 (pins damaged! but works ok)
J-403TG 486 GREEN VLB (V2.0) Mobo
8MBx2 FPM 72pin RAM
VLB S3-805p with 2MB
VLB IDE Controller (I Can't remember exact model)
MediaVision PAS16 with SCSI Sanyo CD-ROM (CD not working at this moment...)
8GB HDD
Sony FDD

Also, I've collected a lot of isa and vlb stuff, but unafortunately they are stored and I've few choices to make benchmark comparisons.

My other recent build was a 200MMX & W98SE retro-pc (actually it's stored at parents home)

Shuttle Hot-591P Mobo 😎 😁
Pentium 200MMX
64MB EDO RAM (2x32 MB 72pin SIMMs)
3Dfx Vodoo3 3000 AGP
SB AWE64 OEM
Windows 98SE Boxed (it cost me a fortune few years ago, twice OEM version)

But my game collection is pre-pentium era, so, my predilect system is 486 setup.

What is so special about the HOT-591P? I was asked to make an offer for one some time ago, but I preferred to stick to my MS-5184 (1MB of cache, FSB up to 133)...

Hi all, here are some pics :

486 Setup & win3.11 benchmarks :

I forgot to say that I removed S3-805p, now it's powered by an S3-Vision864

Hi keropi 😁 sorry for the bolds 😉 , I see you was looking for another 591P, sorry that mine is well stored now. I like this mobo too, it's an hybrid mobo, widely used to upgrade 486 pci systems (cheap, at/atx power connector, agp+pci+isa, wide range processors support and it's not a SOYO mobo)

Some pics of a new 586 system I will try to build :

ExpertBoard EXP8551 Mobo (http://members.multimania.nl/awpost/)
Intel Pentium 200 - SV045/SVS (not much info on internet, I think it's a fake cpu , but it works ok at 200MHz)
SOYO SY-5VA Mobo (http://www.motherboards.org/mobot/manuals/Soyo/SY-5VA/)
Intel Pentium 200MMX - SL27H

And, finally, some pics of my stored 586 setup :

I'm not a gamer, but I own some games for dos, I bought them when my parents gave me a 486 (circa 1992, I think...)

- Jazz Rabit
- Doom 1 & 2
- X , X2 , X3 (not for DOS, but they were the main reason to upgrade to newer PCs with better VGA, 486 to 586 to P3 to P4 to Core2Duo)
- Hocus Pocus
- Raiden
- ProjectX
- Varius pinball games (P. Dreams, Epic Pinball, Pinball Illusions)
- Tyrian
- Raptor
- The Journeyman Project Turbo!
- Quake (I,II & III)
- Warcraft I
- Xenon 2

Some other games need DirectX to work, installed in my main machine
- Starcraft I & II
- Gears of War
- Dead Space
- some others still sealled (I'm not very interested on newer games 😜 )
