There is a KickStarter running to bring back Leisure Suit Larry. They alredy have the licence, and the even have Al Lowe! Larry was one of my personal favorite games. If you love the series, go now and put in some cash so they can make this happen!
It seems there are many who say that the original LSL games, however distinguished they may be, weren't particularly good "games" in the final analysis.
Then again, maybe they'll work on fixing that this time around.
It's more like Sierra LSL remake but with higher resolution. Come on! Make a LSL 8 not a remake again and make it in 3d. I don't mean turn LSL into fps but entering in the bar in 3D, playing casino games, ...
The recent Monkey Island remakes received a ton of love and they look fantastic. If Larry gets that kind of attention, then there is plenty of reason to be excited about this.

LSL4 is a joke, and it should remain unmade. Al Lowe was quoted saying years ago that he would never make LSL4, and he has stuck to that ever since. 😀

...except on the Kickstarter page where they said they'd even consider doing LSL4 Missing Floppies depending on how well they do.

Yes I would prefer a LSL8 with a new story but I am curious to see what they will come up with.
They explained for now that they only have the license to remake the existing Larry games. If that goes well, then they will have the rights to make a new one. Interesting way to setup a deal.
i heard the people behind this kickstarter already had funding but, decided to say screw you and when with kickstarter and that the reason for doing so wasn't a very good one.
