Hello there,

I'm a retro computing fan, and also I do work on creating stuff using microcontrollers.

The one thing I need to find is more SRAM chips. I noticed that earlier 386/486 motherboards contain DIP versions of these. Since I do not have any of these on my hand right now, anyone (who have those stuff) can really confirm that it is the onboard motherboard caches uses SRAMs?

I do not want a surface mount because it's for prototyping purposes, so a DIP will work. 😀

Not to piss in your pool sort of thing but you posted on the wrong forum. People here are about saving vintage hardware not scrapping it.

On a far away planet reading your posts in the year 10,191.

I'm sorry if I have offended you guys. I'll search for broken 486 motherboards elsewhere.

Meanwhile, I have some retro hardware I can show it off to you. I'll post to the proper area accordingly.

Thanks.
