I also saw that on the news between diaper changes. He had a pretty full career. I used to watch Matlock in the 80's, but gravitated more towards the adventure contained in Magnum PI. I was also a big Rockford Files junkie.

Andy Griffith's range was not limited to the avancular, small town respectable citizen type, I recommend that everybody should check out his film A Face in the Crowd.
