The whole social networking also doesn't interest me. I have zero interest in knowing what others are up too and telling others what I'm doing.
I know friends who take photos on their smartphone about ANYTHING they do and it goes straight to FB.
Our lives are busy enough, I don't see the need to have to worry about other peoples' lives as well.

What I really use facebook for is exchanging links and videos with friends with whom I hang out with. We hang out and discuss them later on 😜. It serves a lot of purposes 😀
Got tons of computers, laptops and smart phones, but don't social network. I think FB is for attention whores 😜
I use facebook mostly to keep in touch with my relatives. When I want to communicate with friends I typically use the phone 😜
Or Skype. Skype is great when playing an online game together! 😁
But for the most part I typically just use forums.

I've got x-chat open, at least in the background, 24 hours. Would be pretty useful to have instant feedback vs opening yet another thread on the same thing that's already been discussed a million times here.

I'm really worried about my privacy, I use a "stupid" phone, I quit facebook, I stopped using Google and unfortunately YouTube is next cos it kinda forces me to start a Google+ account (I had started this paranoid behaviour a longtime before those scandals...)
