Old tradition. Looked it up on the net.
Around 1800's the first x-mas tree were used in Denmark, and in a long time we used angels too.
We just used the old German tradition, of using angels, wich dates back to the 1700's.
Later. Stars were used. The angel on the other hand, was allways crafted indevidually by each family.
The angel with the dress, is as far as I can read. The guardian angel.
This I just found out. No wonder angels looks so bizarre to me.
It is like with santa claus. In Denmark he used to be green and grey.
The red santa is an invention from the Coca Cola company, pushing the idea to Denmark.

I just take it as good food. We are 10 and we have 4,4 kilo pork roast,
a goose and a duck. 1 kilogram of red cabbage and 4 kilo of potatoes.
I was just using the old Viking word for it. And leaving the smearing
of pigs blood on the altar out of it. 🤣
