I noticed that we do not have a thread for what movie we are or have watched today...

I am watching A Walk To Remember, where Mandy Moore sings "Only Hope"

What’s you favorite car speakers ?
You can’t go wrong with Bose sound system.
But
I use to like Pioneer and Infinity Kappa speakers too.

I am not a Car Stereo buff. I miss my Alpine pull out cassette stereo deck.

I like to listen to “Journey band” for high fidelity songs.

Everyone likes Journey music.

Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
Massive Attack - Mezzanine
Pink Floyd - Pulse
The Alan Parsons Project - Tales of Mystery and Imagination
'Back to Mine' various artists collection by Everything But The Girl.

There was probably some pop in there too, I'm not ashamed!

Absolutely. I'm definitely a "album tells a story" person. I can't stand jumping around from track to track. If I put something on, it has to be played start to finish. Of course prog rock lends itself perfectly to that style of listening!

I fell asleep on the sofa the other night watching a yt channel who makes scenery for DnD games. When I half woke (it was a coupple of hours later) up I could hear Metallica playing, I drifted back to sleep then I woke up to the sound of a live band playing the title track to CnC Red Alert.

Not one word of a lie!

yes indeed, track order would have been crucial to some albums and still important to others i'd imagine, even pop and disco bands probably still cared about track order

i wonder if this is still the case now that physically linear records, (eg vinyl, tape, cd) where its possible but bothersome to skip tracks, are rarer

Been blasting these two on repeat:

Raven - Metal City (2020)
Raven - All Hell's Breaking Loose (2023)

These guys are several geological eons old by now and sound like they're in their 20s! Best metal to come out in recent years \m/

Do you happen to have a Windows 95 CD-ROM laying around? 😉
