Are there even music videos anymore?
I'm showing my age. There was so much more that came previously that was even better. Michael Jackson. Duran Duran. etc...
I remember when Cher first used autotune and I thought, "People like this shiat? Really? Seriously?"
(Daft Punk is the only act that does autotune correctly)
((They're supposed to be robots. Duuuuuuhhhhhh!))
(((If you have not yet seen Interstella 5555, go see it NOW!)))
And then, there's this classic:

This is what makes Gen-Xers like me go WTF:

Here's a cool video, simply for being authentic:
Steve Perry's "Oh Sherrie"
Steve Perry was a big deal in the late 70s and early 80s. He was the lead singer for Journey. When he went solo, this was his big hit. Even better, the woman in this video is actually the titular "Sherrie". Although they eventually broke up, you don't often get to see everyday men/women in videos anymore. Certainly not in #1 hit songs such as this.
Knights of Cydonia by Muse... great video and great song 😀

My cousin introduced me to Muse several years back. He was in a band that was heavily influenced by them. The music is fine, but I don't like the whiny lead singer. I like Rush and Yes, but I just find Matt Bellamy's voice to be irritating; like an aural case of jock itch.
I gotta admit though, that Knights of Cydonia song & video was very good. I'll side with Stefan_L and say that it is now the most recent music video that I liked.
