My motherboard is Biostar A780L3G (integrated GPU disabled). GPU is Radeon HD 7770. I also put Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS on the system. I have to put it on the second (and the last) PCI slot, because Biostar A780L3G is an mATX mobo with only three expansion slots (one PCIe and two PCI), while the Radeon HD 7770 is a dual-slot GPU that naturally blocks the PCI slot next to the PCIe.
When I tried to install the Audigy 2 SZ driver downloaded from Vogons Drivers, the installation program just fails to detect the card.
"Setup could not detect any Sound Blaster Audigy 2 on your System"
(1) I'm pretty sure my sound card is Audigy 2 ZS instead of plain Audigy 2. On the upper right corner of the card, it is clearly written Audigy 2 ZS.
(2) I have tried reinstalling Windows with reformat.
(3) I have tried disabling the Realtek ALC662 on-board sound.
(4) I have tried installing the Creative Audigy 2 driver before and after installing the motherboard's chipset driver.
Any suggestion?
Never thought this thread would be that long, but now, for something different.....
