Hi!
I was so enthusiastic I got a new laptop but I think I have a problem (see attached picture) similar to the one presented in this other thread Windows 10 Dosbox
Now, as to DOSBox, it can be solved using OpenGL as output. No compatibility option worked so far. But with other emulators which don't have an option for OpenGL I had no luck.
I didn't have the nerve to test a Windows game yet.
Drivers and system are up-to-date.

Help!

DOSBox isn't actually able to use Direct3D on Windows 8/10, it uses DirectDraw, which Windows 8/10 considers depreciated and doesn't handle all too well.

That is the one major drawback with Windows 8/10 is that anything which uses DirectDraw is almost certainly not going to run properly. You can use DXWnd to some extent for fixing problems like this.

Direct3D with your other software should work perfectly fine so long as the software uses at least DX9. DX8 will work MOST of the time, though sometimes with minor issues, while DX7 or earlier is a crapshoot. :P
