I initially was a little bit upset about the eBay thread getting locked as I've been able to get one or two things as a result of it... but seeing all the ridiculously immature responses to it in this thread... wow. Actually it was probably a really great idea to lock it after all. Bonus if it means these trouble makers are also leaving as a result.

Maybe that was the plan all along, weed out some trouble makers.

We figured there might be some well thought out complaints, we really didn't think it'd result in post blanking, vandalism, porn posting, parody account creations, nasty PMs, threats... Thank you guys who haven't jumped ship in the process as we deal with this wave of drama.

I would be extremely shocked if they really stay gone 🙁 It might be nice, but people like that generally enjoy causing problems so much that, when they find a place they have fun at, they refuse to leave for any extended period. They may create new accounts, but they'll most likely be back. In my opinion, they are currently throwing a tantrum because one of the easiest places for them to cause issues has been closed down. They'll find another thread (or create one,) to fill their need eventually.

Yeesh... at first I was disappointed that thread was closed but after seeing just the drama in this thread I guess I see the point. I just liked looking at listings but definitely not worth the drama it brings to the site.

I originally was hoping the thread could be reformed, but I definitely see now that it had to go. It's kind of sad that even high quality forums aren't immune to twerps like Falcon. On the plus side, the forum will probably be better now that he's gone.

Glad it wasn't just me! I got some porno and that Jade Falcon special, the use of the wrong word for the context at hand - at least it'll be easy to tell when it's one of his "1000" accounts because of his unique use of the English language. Feeling a bit sorry for him now - clearly has a roo loose in the top paddock.

Thanks to the mods for dealing with this mess - you all have better things to do I'm sure but Vogons will be better for it.

That's why I highly suspect kithylin and Jade Falcon are actually the same person, because it was kithylin who got butthurt, apparently because he didnt get the group support he cried for.
