Hello VOGONS members!

Have a little question: Anyone know where to find trays to hold EDO RAM sticks, like this tray here that holds DDR sticks? I can't seem to find any on Amazon or ebay. Hoping someone knows where I could find one, since I'm starting to add more and more EDO RAM sticks into my collection of retro PC parts, and have no nice-neat way to store them.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

A long time ago I bought a lot of SIMMs from a liquidator and they shipped them in trays, but I can't say I've ever seen SIMM trays being sold by themselves. The age of the SIMM format probably isn't helping the supply any.

If nobody is selling the trays by themselves, maybe ask some of the RAM sellers who look like they do enough volume to have them. They might have extra trays they throw out without realizing anybody would want them.

Darn. Yeah, I'll try that. Thanks! Sucks that there isn't a more... obvious source to get these trays.

I bought 2" x 6" anti-static bags to store my ram sticks. They're much more compact than trays and sets can be grouped together more easily.

This is what I bought:

Those ones that I purchased have a very wide seal which I always trim down with a paper trimmer. I haven't purchased these other ones linked below but they are listed at 1.5" x 6" and shouldn't require any trimming. It looks like the half inch removed is from the narrower seal:

Seem to remember some memory suppliers used to ship larger kits in cardboard boxes with internal dividers - you could easily make your own larger version by picking a suitably sized box and make up your own internal cardboard dividers using half-lap cuts (you can actually buy similar things called drawer dividers) to store each stick individually or in groups (with or without ESD bags)

Both interesting solutions - definitely willing to try the former.

Memorypack.com.tw has them, but they don't make it easy to order and may only sell in bulk.

Nice! I just contacted them, so I am waiting to hear back from them. Hopefully they do allow me to buy one of them.

So, he gets back to me, say one was too few. 😐

Welp, you were right. I then replied, asking him if he knew any customers who bought from them and resold the trays, or other people who sell the tray, but no response. 🙄
