CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/TrackerNinja
PLAYLIST: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1TqXN … ajIVUwZ02RMln-8

Channel is dedicated to tracker music:MOD/S3M/XM/IT.
Music made with small puters, but great minds were involved.

Mankind produced 288.000 mods in total.Almost all of them are pure crap.
Just 0.88% worth your attention. You can find these gems on the channel.

Pattern newbie? Experienced MOD addict? Tracker dinosaur?
I can guarantee, that here you'll find something you *never* heard before and it will blow your mind.

I was permanently banned on crappy yt & blogspot due to some blurry, turbid reason.

What was done to make all appointed stuff happen?
1. modarchive/modland/traxinspace were totally out-pressed
2. private ftp's were juiced too
3. old connections used to get hands on exclusive stuff
4. all these gazillion mods were preselected in a multiple-pass manner

If you don't know what the heck i am talking about, check out wiki for detailed explanation:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_tracker

Some nerdy stats.
Total files: 1404
Total folders: 43
Uncompressed size: ~1200Mb
7z'ed (ultra compression): ~690Mb
File types: mod, xm, s3m, it, mtm, umx and even some rns/xrns.

Modules sorted by styles (folders) & overall mood.
So, for eg: we go -> Chiptune -> Upbeat or Downbeat.

Module pack can be downloaded from my site also.

Peace!

Do you provide the DL-Links to the best of the best too?

I think what dr. Zeissler is asking: can you provide a download link to the songs that you post? So one can listen to the original file as well? Shouldn't be too hard since you probably downloaded them from Modland or some such place.

Ah, i get it. Every posting has mega.nz link in the description field.

Mostly files are from Modland, but not all of them.
You'll be suprised with content if you keep checking the channel from time to time.

I would like to have the best of the best as DL, so it makes no sense to DL 40.000 files and listen for months.

I've filtered around 300.000 files, from modland, modarchive, various private ftps.
The only problem that it is biased selection, which is based upon my personal taste.

Exactly, there's no way it's possible to get a single "best" collection suitable for all of us.

Out of the thousands on files here, I probably only listen to less than 100, still feels good to have the music around in case I want to try something new.
Guess most of the mod music will be forgotten in a generation or two...

It sounds a bit humbly, but i suppose that i have some taste:)

As for mod history, i am trying to preserve tracker heritage for future generations.
Hope that my actions will have some value for anybody.

Ps and yeah, i am amazed that forum is pretty active.

I've been slowly putting together a couple "mix tapes" of MODs that follow a theme. First one is just a collection of my favorite electronica:

1) Technoelectrix II
2) Achaeta
3) Achmed the Turk
4) Aryx
5) Aldea
6) Butterfly Flew Away
7) Catch Me If You Can
8 ) Chiba City Lights '96
9) Gill Breathing
10) Isotoxin
11) Jasy Say N2o!
12) More Than Meets the Mind
13) Point of Departure
14) A Dream
15) Situational Awareness
16) 200 Miles from Earth

Hah.. 😀 I just noticed (and remembered) that it started out as an alphabetical list of files dumped into WinAMP years ago, but has been tweaked for better flow. I've also started converting these to MIDI and replacing low-quality samples with better ones, or VST-Is. It's a way back-burner project that I throw some time at while on an airplane or whatever.
