I've been experiencing an annoying issue with SDL2 games for quite a while. However, the affected titles are not as many as it used to be. The issue is a sound cut-0ff which occurs about 5 to 10 seconds of playing. A few SDL2 releases ago I had to set an environment variable to force SDL audiodriver as directsound which fixed the cut off at the expense of hiccups and choppiness. Some software, like eDuke32, stopped having the issue altogether while others, like Stella 2600, I was able to fix by lowering the output rate from 96kHz to 48kHz. Nevertheless, I ran into one game that I couldn't fix by any means, which is Slipstream, a retro Top Gear like game sold by GOG. Has anyone who ever run into this problem was able to fix it with something else I haven't tried yet?
