This to create OS installers on external storage other than USB pen drives. Use Alt + F command to do that.

Not doing this, external drives wouldn't be exposed.

I used a external drive and a SATA SSD.
Does work. I installed windows 10 on a PC this way. Much faster.

Didn't know about the shortcut. It seems that option 'List USB hard drives' is what it toggles.

Right to repair is fundamental. You own it, you're allowed to fix it.
