I went through a big tote filled with computer parts - two motherboards, two disk drives, multiple floppies, IDE cables, video cards, network cards.
So....what did I get rid of?
Some old cables meant for AT motherboards - that is all!
It is hard to get rid of things!!!!!!!

Well, get rid of what you are never going to use. I know, I know. I've been there before. Maybe more than just parts for two systems. I had you can say, about a half of a room full, closet full, of stuff. I had to decide if it was worth keeping when moving. I got rid of alot of stuff. Stuff I could have used again, now many years later. So the advice I'd say, when you know, you know, get rid of it. And don't look back.

I got rid of all my 40 pin IDE cables few years back.
Following year I picked up a system that refuses to work with 80 pin cables.

Moral of the story, you never know what your going to need!
