How to reproduce this one? Giving the game a quick go it worked fine for me. Selecting a special resolution or sg like that is needed?

Steam version, these settings. Bug occurs only when subtitles or game UI shows on screen.

What if you run the game natively (or try the original)? I have the original version and can't reproduce this at all, it works fine. 😕

Is 256MB VRAM enough? The game requires 1GB according to steam and GOG.

I've just checked out the GOG version, and indeed, there is pixelation.
The original game rendering is modified by patch.dll, and the technique used conflicts with dgVoodoo's resolution scaling process.

But luckily, a little patch helps:

I assume the Steam version has the same version of patch.dll, so this patch can be used together with that too.

Unfortunately, this patch does not help Steam version. But i can send you some dll/exe files from steam version if this helps 😎

It's a pity...
Does the steam version has patch.dll? If it doesn't then I could only debug the game itself to find out what to modify. 🙁

Ok, here is the patched one.

Does it work? Won't the steam updater overwrite it at once, detecting the file changed?

Yes, its working now!
Don't think that steam will overwrite the file (unless i tell him to) or game will be patched in near future (which is highly unlikely now).
