I'm currently working on a mod for the game Freelancer (2003). Since dgVoodoo2 fixes several Windows 10 compatibility issues the game has, I'd like to use it as an optional patch for my mod. Do I have permission to do this? Of course I'll be sure to give appropriate credits.

You wouldn't include it as a patch, you'd just post a link to it in your mod ReadMe file or Mod information page, so people could get the latest version.

Thanks for your suggestion, but that's not what I asked for.

I read the following in dgVoodoo2's Readme:

If you would like to utilize them in publicly available custom solutions or packages, like game patches or anything else, then PLEASE ask me for permission, furthermore mention its original source in your package along with the following download link:

It would be convenient if I would be allowed to do this as I can ship my mod with the correct dgVoodoo2 version and config right away.
