VOGONS

The game wasn't even launching on Windows 10. Windows 98 compat mode does make it work but prevents dgvoodoo from working. After some trial-and-error it became apparent that the game only needs the "Win98VersionLie" compat fix to launch, so I applied only that with Compatibility Administrator and dgvoodoo also works with it.

The problem is that the game doesn't allow to select DirectX or OpenGL in the settings, with or without dgvoodoo. I tried all the video card types in dgvoodoo but no change.
This is also the case when using Windows 98 compat.

This isn't directly dgvoodoo related of course. Obviously OpenGL is not supported, however, is it something that can be done on the wrapper side for DirectX?

If not, does anyone know how can I trick the game to allow using those options?

I've also attached a log file.

The game won't let me select OpenGL and DirectX mode
It occurs because the game does not correctly recognize modern video cards but it is still not a problem since it lets you select the software renderer and there if it works correctly

Can't name a profile
Don't enable compatibility mode

What's the point of copy pasting that?? Why do you think I'm asking here how that can be fixed.

If you read what I wrote above you'd see I'm NOT using the Windows compatibility mode. I can name a profile with no issues.

The reason for the message is there is no difference in the other modes, unless you need D3D assisted video acceleration to make the videos run the proper speed it will look no different. This game is not 3D its just videos.

Additionally I've been trying to test the game out on my XP machine but it has an issue with Version 6 of Quicktime, and Version 7 no longer supports FLash video. But I have a 780ti in that machine and I can choose all the different options even though I see a white square instead of a video.
