was there ever a dual agp mobo?

This one time at a PC trade show, Micron demonstrated a motherboard chipset that permitted dual AGP ports: Micron SamuraiDDR. IIRC the board with that particular featureset was called Micron Madison.

The Madison dual Slot 2 board would have basically used two North Bridge chipsets, which would separate the two AGP slots.

My guess as to why they did this was "multi-monitor without compromising by reverting to PCI" but IDK for sure. Someday I'd like the real story on it. 😀

Most likely no. Only one north bridge can communicate with south bridge directly. So it's probably master-slave (how scandalous) relations.

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.

That's almost like 2 motherboards on a single PCB 😜

Btw, I don't remember anyone ever talking about it or even having this board.

How’s halo run on it?

https://youtu.be/jx-KE-xlNS0

Edit: oops, I see OP was wanting to know about voodoo 0-3

Halo is probably a no go on those cards.

But the k6-3+ as you can see can technically play it though, but not without lag.

Alright club members, tonight I have a special presentation for you full of fantastic propaganda for your viewing pleasure. But first let me introduce our special guest Mr. Kenny Loggins who will be supplying the background vocals for us. And later there's a fill in the blank quiz just to keep things spicy (only one answer per club member please and the first correct response wins) so without further ado, let's rock!

Eagerly awaiting to join the club ... k6-3+ on the way.
Board is EPoX EP-51MVP3E-M. Was actually considering Diamond Moster Fusion (Banshee) at first ... we'll see.

Not sure about sound .... few options:
* Acer Magic S23 (CS4232 + OPL3)
* CT2900 (Vibra16s + OPL3)
* AWE64 Gold
* Aureal Vortex (Diamond Sonic Impact S90) or even Vortex 2

Targeting 1996-1998 mostly:
* Lucas Arts: Grim Fandango, Outlaws, Star Wars * ...
* Warcraft 2, Starcraft
* AoE, 7Kingdoms
* Red Alert
* Doom, Quake, Quake II, Hexen, Hexen II
* Carmagedon
* Diablo I
* The Curse of Monkey Island
* King's Quest VIII: Mask of Eternity
* Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines
* Half Life
...

All the stuff I used to play on Pentium 166 MMX in software rendering 😀.

Nice clean build. I'm building one similar to this one. If you don't mind, what range of DOS games can you play? How early can you go? Have there been any games that are speed sensitive enough to not run well?
