XMSDSK can be used to limit available XMS memory and then can be unloaded without rebooting.
If you have 256MB RAM installed aladdin.bat file can look something like this:

@echo off
xmsdsk 230000 /y
aladdin.exe
xmsdsk /u /y

xmsdsk can be downloaded from here

I am struggling to get this game sounds working on my M6VLR with Via C3 600Mhz with 128MB RAM and ALS 100 plus. While the game loads within Windows 98, there is absolutely no music. I tried setting SB, SB pro, WSS, etc within setsnd but to no avail. Complete silence. Under pure DOS mode, i get XMS allocation error. Any proper way to get the music and sound working under win 98?

Intel 845GEBV2, Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz, Geforce FX5600 256MB, 512MB RAM, 160GB HDD, Sound Blaster Live! SB0100 - Win 98.
