Ok. Just digged out our familiy's AutoCAD..
If you delete acad.cfg (remove acad.cfg), AutoCAD will notify you about it beeing unconfigured.
The attachment acad_000.gif is no longer available
After this, it will show you a list of video devices.
The attachment acad_001.gif is no longer available
Followed by the digitizers..
The attachment acad_002.gif is no longer available
And the plotters.
The attachment acad_003.gif is no longer available
Last but not least, you're in the config menu.
The attachment acad_005.gif is no longer available
From there, you can configure the devices you have choosen earlier.
I know our copy isn't the most recent, but it is AutoCAD, after all.
