My system specs. are in my sig. When I get to the menu it loses control of the cursor and I have to do a "soft boot". Installation was kinda flaky too, and slow. This is suprising given the game came out around 2002, about the same time as XP rolled out.

I downloaded a patch but I'm at work so haven't tried it yet, but given what little info I could find the game just doesn't like P4's too much. Anyone come across this too and find any solutions? May have to give up and install on my P3 rig.

A little odd for a game released post-XP and post-P4 to hate both of those...i'd accuse video driver versions at this point.

Yeah I'm hesitant to mess with the drivers since all the other games work fine. Are there any "go to" versions for card I'm using (Geforce 7950 GT) anyone wants to recommend?

Patch didn't help the issues. Found out the Nvidia driver version is 6.14.0012.9573 dated 2012, perhaps I need an older version to play games from 2001-2006?
Can anyone recommend a version that might work better?

Success!!! Dropped back Nvidia driver to 93.71 forceware and now Comanche 4 runs like a dream with the graphics jacked up!

Props to leileilol for advising that the video drivers were causing the issues, many thanks!
