So i have a Compaq Presario which i have installed a Compaq Prolinea Net 1/25 network card to the motherboard, now i would like to get the infromation regarding autoexec.bat/config.sys and C:\CPQNET from some that has this computer 😁
Thanks, already did but it just gives me a basic .dos file and 3 lines for protocol.ini and nothing more.

So basically im still looking in to this 😀 and hopefully i will create a new post later on depending on how my ongoing project 😀
So some information regarding the project i am spending time on at the moment 😀
Few days ago i got my hands on a Prolinea net 1/25 motherboard which works without problems with the notwork cards i have, and the prolinea board work perfectly fine in my compaq presario 425 and 433 which off course should work since basically they are clone of each other.
So my first step was try the "disk drive" which has "working" drivers in it in my compaq presario with attached network card, and off course it did not work 😜 so my guess was "oki" i will check move the bios from the prolinea to the presario to see if there is any different there, off course it still doesn't work 😀
So basically at this point im having the mother boards under the micro scope to see if i do find any different chip or anything on the motherboards the real diffrent between the board is that compaq presario have gamepad port ( at least for sweden ) which has two " TLC556C " chips:
1The TLC556 series are monolithic timing circuits 2fabricated using the TI LinCMOS process, which 3provides full compatibility with CMOS, TTL, and 4MOS logic and operates at frequencies up to 52 MHz. Accurate time delays and oscillations are 6possible with smaller, less-expensive timing 7capacitors than the NE556 because of the high 8input impedance. Power consumption is low 9across the full range of power supply voltages.
Other then that i dont see anything els diffrent, well since i dont care about the gamepad port i will hot blow those chips away to see that they dont talk smak to the bios since they are one of the first connected chips next to the cmos, and ye when using the prolinea bios i dont have any gamepad settings 😉
Well small update if and when i get pass my obstacle i will be back 😀

That's what I often used Win98SE for - auto-detection of unknown cards and chipsets. 😀
