Hello!

I've surfed around a little to find some traffic-monitor for my XP SP3, I'm curious where my outbound traffic goes. There were recommendations for Wireshark, XP should work with this setup: Wireshark_(32bit)_v1.12.1.exe. When installing, it tells me "better use v 1.1", it runs nevertheless. Unfortunately, the GUI welcomed me with some cryptic error-message, in the very end I deleted my first and only "Wireshark". Before dling like mad (again), I'd better ask: Which simple to use, light-weighted monitor should I try?

Wireshark 1.2.18 runs on Windows 2000 (with ext. kernel) so I would expect it to run fine on XP as well.

With Wireshark i come as far as this (see screenshot):

The attachment Image1.gif is no longer available

Anyway, it's to heavy for me = eats +/- 100 MB RAM, so i have to find something else...

edit - If somebody wants to know: tcpview from sysinternals is xtra-light (<10MB) but also a little boring...
