Hi everyone! I'm a bit new here so I hope this is the right place to post this for trying to run a classic game on a period OS.

I'm trying to play Constructor on my Win '98 rig, and it fails to run either the Windows version or DOS version in a Windows DOS box.

For the DOS version, it fails after loading DOS/4GW with:

Error = UVCONFIG.EXE could not be run.
There must be at least 490K of free base memory.

The Windows version is less helpful: it switches resolution and colour palette, but otherwise fails to run. I don't know if it crashes as Cmd+Alt+Del does nothing whatsoever!

I'm using an original retail CD-ROM copy of the game on the following setup:

OS: Windows '98 Second Edition (build 2222)
CPU: Pentium III Coppermine @ 1.0GHz
RAM: 512MB
Graphics: GeForce 3 Ti 200, 128MB
DirectX: 9.0c

I'd love to be able to play the game somehow and am wondering what's left to try save remembering MSCDEX and trying it in DOS mode. Any help would be very gratefully appreciated.
