Hi all,

So I have this vision of turning my Compaq Presario 460 with external SCSI CD-ROM drive into a setup for playing audio CDs.
HW-wise, the setup works, however I am struggling to find a good program for playback control that would work.
I have already tried a few, after some googling, under links below, but some links are down, some do not work properly or even do not work at all for my particular setup,

http://www.resoo.org/docs/dos/free_software/sound.htm
https://www.hitsquad.com/smm/dos/

Can you recommend/link to any particular music player for MS-DOS? I am strictly after music CD playback, and personally, the more text-mode GUIs, the merrier 😀

Thanks a lot, V.

I'd look into awesome linux cli players, but ported to DOS.

Maybe MPlayer for DOS would work ?

Thank you for the suggestions. Actually I kept looking and stumbled across this gem - SJGPLAY

Text mode, lots of options that I really like (screensaver, equalizer), works nicely without (major) errors - I think Im gonna use this one for a while...
