Back in the olden days, before optical drives were common you could get your multimedia kicks using floppy disk. In full glorious VGA , or optional EGA disks, along with SVGA you could see videos with motion and sound(if you had a compatible sound card) There system requirements were quite modest as well as you can see from the pics of the software below:
