Hello everyone, so I have dabbled in the realm of thin clients for a while now just as a hobby and picked up this model by HP. Now I know out there that they have a driver set and even a tutorial for 98 SE install on this and whatnot but I wanted to make sure ahead of time if these two clients will share the same drivers. Model of the T5700 is DC640A. Lastly, what would the latest BIOS be for this system and does anybody have a link to it? Thank you all for your time, have a nice day/night 😀

for installing an os you'll have to get an adapter and/or a cable for the ide44 port, so you can use a laptop ide hdd or an adapter like an cf2ide or sd2ide, always the laptop (ide44) version
then, you can install windows 98se with an usb flash drive (4gb or less) formatted with the hp format utility and the 98se floppy image, then you copy the win98 folder from the windows cd to the usb drive
when you boot the flash drive, it will boot into the usb drive, there you need to format the internal hard drive, make bootable, copy dos files (with sys command or with the format's /s option) and copy the win98 folder
then reboot without the flash drive plugged in, it'll boot to dos in the internal hdd, there you can install windows with the folder copied.
the video chip is a standard ATi Rage XL, you can still find drivers on AMD webpage
