Hi everyone,

TLDR is pretty much in the title.

The not so TLDR:
I'm working on starting my own little personal archive of software and in the interest of generally having a good time, I'd really like to avoid shady stuff, viruses, malware, spyware, adware, etc. Just doing a quick search for any given old sofware, Winamp as an example, I can find countless results and websites. Issue is, I'm paranoid, like Edward Snowden type of paranoid. I realise that running any old software is inherently insecure as it is anyways, but I'd like as much as possible to avoid sourcing my base software for each generation of OSes from anywhere potentially malicious. Or at least source it from places that do as much vetting and moderating of what they host as possible. Assuming you have any, what are your go to "trustworthy" or at least mostly trustworthy sources for old software?

Thanks! 😀
