Hi!

Sometime ago I got this card with a bunch of other soundcards. I forgot about it, but today I dug it out. Weird thing is, I can't find any info about it. Am I searching somehow incorrectly or what? Does anyone know something about this quite promising card. The larger chip in the middle is SAM9233. TIA!

That SAM9233 is a midi synthesizer. The DREAM GMSxxxxx labeled chips hold the sound samples. It should sound very similar to a Roland Sound Canvas. It supports the Midi GS extension.
This card does not have chips for playing digitized sound effects, as in WSS or Sound Blaster.
This card has a 26-pin waveblaster header to interface to another Midi daughterboard. I suppose this implies that it has two MPU-401 interfaces.

There is also a card called PowerWave which has the same chipset. Maybe the PowerWave driver is usable for this PW-32 Pro card as well.
See: SC8500 sound card - what does it do?

Thanks! Sounds like this most likely is a Powerwave 32 PRO. I found the drivers through your link, most excellent, thanks again!
