hi all.
Thought I would post this here in case anyone is looking for a quick fix. I have an earlier CT1740 Soundblaster 16 with a 4.05 DSP but the left channel was super quiet, barely audible.
My immediate thought was to replace the bigger audio output caps.. and wouldn't you know it, one measured open. I replaced both with a new pair to keep levels even, and it works a treat!
Now I can plug my Roland SC-55 into is and get back to some proper DOOMing!
