Does anyone know how to unmute this input on the card with the mixer? Basically I need to know which entry in the dos mixer controls it.

Ok, so that header on the Compaq board marked "speaker" I always assumed was a PC Speaker input? Yeah, it's actually an OUTPUT. So don't make my mistake if you buy one of these things. These cards DO NOT have a speaker input.
