Hello friends.
I have a PC with DOS7.1 installed without win98.
When I want to install my DOS awe64 drivers (CT 4380, AWE64 PnP), ctcm refuses to run, saying I am running under windows... grrrrr
Do you have any idea I could use to solve this problem linked to the dosver that is 7.10... any solution to change the dosver (without installing 6.22 😀 )?

edit the msdos.sys file to the following:

C:\>attrib -r -h -s msdos.sys
C:\>edit msdos.sys
msdos.sys
[Paths]
;WinDir=C:\WINDOWS
;WinBootDir=C:\WINDOWS
;HostWinBootDrv=C

CTCU doesn't like the Windows DOSBox (code detects Windows for some reason), only MS-DOS. But, the other method @dr_st suggested is even better. Going to do that for a few Sound Blaster cards I have.
